High Quality fan
This is the best fan and white blends in to ceiling so you don’t notice it as much when you walk into room. Super quiet and no balancing blades like a traditional ceiling fan. The sleep mode is awesome.

Expensive but it works well.
Shipping was prompt. Packaging and instructions were good. Installation was straightforward. Remote features work well. At higher rpms there is a small amount of vibration and a definite blade induced "wind whip noise". I would have preferred a flat white finish on the blades instead of the shiny finish.

Very cool fans
Purchased 2 of the black/cocoa L series fans. These are very nice looking and the blades are plastic but have a very nice wood grain matt finish with a slight shine. The two are mounted in our family room and will work together with one remote to turn on/off the light or fans. They also operate over WiFi via the Haiku phone app. Another resource for voice control is through a google nest hub. Very many methods of automation using schedules or smart heating or smart cooling features which makes these a cut above other fans. Installation was fairly easy with the mostly pictorial manual, although some info was left out such as the alignment arrow stickers which help when used properly. A little confused on the wrapping two of the wire connectors around the post, as when incorrect will cause the wire cap to wobble when slid down to cover the connectors. Once correct everything fits well. Network setup was very easy and works well. The cost is a bit high, but once you use these ultra quiet fans it is easy to justify.

Priced high for what you get
Installation instructions need a bit of work. You could start by printing them in a bigger font:) This is my second Haiku and first L model. I was a bit disappointed to find as much as plastic in the nicer Haiku and totally disappointed to find nothing but plastic in the L model. Luckily the "grain' on the foils doesn't look as cheap as it feels but for this price point, you think you would get real wood. Once its in, wifi connection was easy and control via google works fine. Overall the design is very nice and well made but lacking in the finer points.

Not suitable in humid climates
Buyer beware if installed in humid climate with air conditioning split system. I have purchased 6 of the earlier model. Unfortunately, one has completely failed after 2 years. There was condensation build-up in the plastic rim which caused the motor to seize and corrosion to occur within a week .(Bizarre but true)
Big Ass has refused to bear any responsibility claiming the issue is do to an environmental condition in my home. Thankfully I do not live in a terrarium just a warm humid climate.
Big Ass-take note of a potential install issue- air conditioner proximity to fan instead of reading off a script regarding my environmental issue and talking in circles. Additionally the motor is rated for damp locations.
Egregious and dangerous!

We're sold on design and performance.
When our bedroom fan died a few years ago we replaced it with a Big Ass fan. It is so quiet and good looking we decided to replace going fans in two other bedrooms but wanted some thing s bit smaller. When we saw a smaller version in a special offering, we ordered immediately. Our regular electrician came to install them, he said he was familiar with the Big Ass fans for commercial use and was unaware of the residential line. Once he was done installing the new fans, I demonstrated one for him. He was amazed at the design, quality, and performance. I said they were a bit more than usual residential units, he said it would be worth the difference and he's going to look into a purchase.

Fan does not work properly
After installation, the fan worked like our other two Haiku fans for about 2 weeks. Now the fan will no longer go above about half speed. I wrote the company to get help and have not received a reply.

Loved the fan in our great room so much that we purchased another for our bedroom.
It’s smooth and quiet with so many settings! It was slightly challenging installing them both(one year apart), but definitely worth it.

Poor Customer Switch Options
I have several of these fans in my house. I really dig the aesthetics and almost silent motor. However, I am beyond disappointed, just downright angry about the remotes. I don't want any remotes in my life, let alone for a fan (or 4 of them in my case). I don't want a remote for anything these days. So now I have to bounce around on the website to find the wifi unit and buy a wall switch. These fans are so annoying when you don't have a wall switch. My kids are constantly flipping the standard on/off wall switch off (by the way, I live in a regular house with switches.) then the Wifi module is not powered, so to control them with my phone I have to go to the room and switch them back on. BAF can do better, it is obvious.

Amazing Fan!
These are the most amazing fans, the volume of air they move in total silence is incredible! The ease of installation is worth the price of admission, clear and precise instructions. The remote control that’s included controls all the functions, the LED light is dimmable and easily lights a room. Variable speeds so you can control the comfort in the room. In addition to the remote that’s included, you get Wi-Fi, download the app and you can control from your smart device when your on you network.
When your considering a new or replacement fan, keep the Haiku L or Haiku in mind.

Finally Works
I love these fans and this is our second purchase. Unfortunately, the first fan sent was defective and would not allow the LED light to function. I called the first time and the tech sent a new light that also didn't work. After brainstorming with new commercial Big Ass Fan tech, the second tech agreed with me that the fan itself was defective and not allowing the LED light contact pins to fully engage with the main lights motherboard when installed. He ordered a new fan for us that arrived 3 weeks later. We were without kitchen lights for over a month total while waiting for new parts. I think that the new parts should ship immediately without delay and a discount offered for the hassle of installation and inconvenience. Everything finally works great now with the new fan installed and properly functioning. We still love the quality, simplicity and functionality of these fans.

Terrific fan with a few quirks
I hate to give this rating, but recently encountered a frustrating and surprising flaw. We had some power surges in the middle of the night (wind storm), and every time, the fan would power back up and the LED would turn on 100% brightness. This happened 5+ times throughout the night, and I was furious. Seems like a simple software fix should be able to default to the light being 'off' instead...

Do your homework first.
Not worth the money, way better fans for less money. Terrible customer service, they definitely won’t respond to you. If you don’t like the fan, prepare yourself for a 25% restocking fee!! Mine two fans are still sitting in their boxes. One rattled when it was on, I installed it exactly how the instructions said. The other, when I pushed the LED sensor into place, a tab broke. Very expensive plastic......

The only fan for me!
I own a renovation company and Haiku is my go to fan of choice for all of my clients. I have 2 in my design center run by Alexa for sales purposes and one directly above my desk to keep me cool while working. I have 5 in my home which is also a smart home. They are whisper quiet and move an incredible amount of air compared to your average fan. They are a bit more expensive than some of the other nicer name brand fans but you can easily see where the money goes as everything is so well engineered and so easily installed.

Didn't work, still doesn't work
Fan didn't work properly on install. Still didn't work after BAF sent out spare parts. They agreed to replace, but didn't order the replacement until I followed up with a call. I still don't have a working fan now that the hottest months of the summer are over. Overall, lousy experience.

The product is great, looks good and works perfectly. HOWEVER, the instructions need to be more clear and explicit. The graphics, at times, from one image to the next show the opposite of what to do and the text leaves our key details.

Review for Ceiling Fan Kit, Haiku
Ordered this to go with the fan. It was shipped separately and received it later than the fan itself. The fan came with shorter rods that I ended up not using. It seems a waste to me to include the shorter rods when ordering the fan, esp. when I specifically specified that I needed the longer rod for my installation. Now I have two shorter rods that I can't use. I don't want to throw them away because it seems like a waste. Overall, I am happy with the install.

Love this fan!
Love this fan. Lightweight, quiet and yet moves a lot of air. We have been slowly replacing our 25 year old Casablanca Stelth fans, that we installed in every bedroom when we moved in, as the transmitter units go out. This is our second Haiku and we should be getting a third before the end of the year. Our fist fan was installed in 2013 and we have had no issues (other than a poorly designed remote that we replaced with a great remote this year).

Choosing the best fan for your rooms...
The Haiku L series fans are affordably priced and are great for areas in the home that are only used occasionally such as media rooms or game rooms. I suggest the higher end Haiku fans equipped with the SenseMe technology for every day living rooms or daily used bedrooms. Easy WiFi settings and motion sensors inside the fan turn the fans on upon entry as well as automatic shut off once you exit the room. By far these are the best fans in the world.

Quiet and Hi Tech, super efficient.
I have to say, I really love this fan. The technical support team at BAF is fantastic as well. If you run into issues, feel confident they will guide you through it. They must test the fans prior to shipping them out because they stand behind their product which is rare nowadays. I love to turn on the fan after a hard days work. I couldn’t be happier with the product and I even brought a second fan for my kids room.
