Have NOT dialed it up to it's highest level yet. If I did that it'll suck the air out of the room (kidding). The light kit is the best for spectrum that I have seen. Just a fabulous fan all around.

Pricey, but worth the premium...
Love the fan. I wish it wasn't so expensive. However, the expense is not a valid reason for deducting points from the review. As such, I'm giving it the five stars it deserves.
I do wish it had a badge or some sort of branded emblem so I didn't have to explain to people how awesome my fan is when I have company. At the price point of this fan, I suppose a hood ornament is probably not a value add to the target market.

Initial startup each time is very disapointing
Bought this unit several months ago on sale directly from the website. After installation, each time I start it up it seems to not know which direction to turn and makes loud grinding noises. Once it gets going however it straightens itself out and runs perfectly at any speed setting. Not sure if this is normal or can be fixed with a firmware upgrade? Anyway its a really nice product and other than the startup issue I'm happy with it.

Very good, but a little improvement is necessary
96" Fan looks great, could be faster to generate more airflow. Documentation on the Auto feature is lacking to explain it's behavior. Fan install instructions were fantastic. Wired switch for the i6 instructions were lacking a bit and created some confusion. If their documentation was better, it would be a 5 star experience.

Size recommendation is off
The fan is great, the problem is the recommended size for the square footage is off. The fan we got was recommended to handle 2250 sf, so with our 2100 sf space, we went with it, but it is too small to cover that space.

Scuffs
I love the unit. My main issue were the scuffs on the finish straight out of the box. If it were lower to the floor and more noticeable I would be very upset. As it stands the bottom of the fan is about 11ft from the floor and the scuffs have to be pointed out to be noticed.

100% satisfied with all of my BAF's.
The fan is everything they say it is. Moves tons of air. No motor hum or noise. Stable with no wobble. When you install the fan make sure your airfoils are inserted all the way. Do not lock them down till you have all of the airfoils inserted. If you have any sort of wobble, stop the fan and reseat your airfoils. I have installed three i6 fans.
The Alexa integration works well. When traveling home from a trip, I log in to my thermostat to lower the temperature but also turn on my fans to cool the house faster.

Great fan, but difficult to install properly
We love the fan now that it is up. Looks great & is super quiet. But, it was difficult to install. The biggest challenge was to get the blades balanced. We needed tech support to get it done. Thankfully, they were very good.

i6 in 20' x 40' game room
20' x 40' game room. Called BigAss and had them recommend fans - 2, i6. They move a TON of air from a 14' ceiling - everyone comments and asks what kind of fans they are. They are expensive, but they do the job better - worth it.

I have several models of big ass fans. This one is not the quality u would expect of big ass fans for 2800.00 for the 96” with led light. I had the the big air fan 96” in same spots for 650.00 and could not tell a difference.

Buggy and clicks
Very unhappy with the bugs in the software or fan itself. Many times the light doesn’t work and I have to play with the remote or switch to reset the fan power before it will work again. Also the fan clicks despite 100% accurate installation. Sad I paid so much for this and maybe I just got a bad egg.

The best fan I have ever owned.
Great fan. This is our second fan like this. Both were easy to install. First one had a down rod and the second was flush mounted. But ever easy to install. The options on the fan are great too. The app to control the fans is great. I have already recommended this style of fan to friends, family and clients. Highly recommend

What is the longest stem I can get for a 96” fan? I have a 28 foot peaked ceiling with 8/12 pitch and timber trusses ten feet apart with bottom cord at twenty feet.

No, our downrods cannot be combined to create longer lengths. Anything longer than a 60" downrod for this fan will create a wobble.

Yes the i6 model is a great fan for large rooms as the 96 in. diameter can cover up to 35x35 ft spaces. Choose the diameter based on the size of the room you need to cover and the downrod based on the height of your ceiling. Have a ceiling taller than 14ft? I am looking to hang a 72" I6 fan about 100 inches below the peak of 2 high slope ceilings in a 2 story great room. What down rod sections do you suggest I purchase, considering the height of the motor housing? What downrods are standard?
You can choose between a 6 in., 12in., or 24in. with your i6 at purchase. Longer downrods can be purchased by selecting the no downrod option then adding a 36in, 48in, or 60in. on from the essentials (or you can visit https://store.bigassfans.com/en_us/i6-downrod-options to select a longer option).
Since it sounds like you have tall ceilings, we would recommend a 60in. downrod. This downrod is ideal 18ft+ ceilings
