A smart fan that isn’t.This fan is obviously designed as a smart fan, but doesn’t include the wifi module to make it a smart fan. Ok that’s fine, but can I use the existing wall switches to turn the light and fan off independently of each other without hunting for the remote? Oh no silly, it’s a smart fan, you don’t use the wall switches… We do have a wall switch based remote you can buy though…
For the money this fan costs, and the fact it is a “Smart Fan” it should include the wifi module to make it an actual smart fan. Also, in justifying the price to value, the blades are just molded black plastic and look cheap for how much the fan costs, even when on sale.

I Did the Research For You!We replaced an old, noisy, single-speed fan in our bedroom with a sleek and silent white 52" Haiku. I have never seen better DIY installation instructions and at only 11 pounds, hanging the assembly was a snap for this 75 year old homeowner. Be aware, because of the quiet and efficient aerodynamic shape of the blades (accurately called airfoils) the Haiku is not reversible, providing down draft only.
Sitting still, the fan is a minimalist work of art and the slowest speed is often prefect for sleeping. With 2 remote controls, either one of us can adjust the fan from our nightstand. I'm a research fanatic, so I am confident we got the best ceiling fan available in terms of function, quality, and aesthetics.

Really Nice!We actually didn't buy, assemble, or set up the Haiku. When we moved into a new house, this fan was in the bedroom. We were just using it with the standard light switch; the previous homeowners didn't show us where the remote was. About 3 years later it turned up. Then I did some research, and found out it was a smart fan. So I hooked it up the the Haiku home app and set it up with my Google Nest Mini. Works awesome with Google Assistant, and moves a lot of air, and it's very quiet.

Don't buy if you have an LG TV in the same room.Volume down on TV remote shuts the fan off or turns it on. Called support with no solution. They are aware of this issue and blamed the manufacturer of the control board in the fan. I have to keep the power of the fan and really can't use it and my TV at the same time. Very disappointing for a premium celling fan the cost 3 to 4 time more than other brands. I guess the solution is to take the fan down or replace a $1800 TV.

Expensive and Cheap LookingAfter 6 haiku fans and 1 i series haiku (cheaper black and white version) I was confident in buying this haiku L series. The brand makes amazing fans but the haiku L is the cheapest looking fan I have ever owned. The look of this fan belongs in a big box store for a 1/3 the price. To add even more insult the remote is laughable. While all my other remotes are small, sleek and on brand…this one is huge and generic. I am not impressed. All my experience with the brand gave me a false sense of security with this expensive purchase. Instead of clean and classy this black plastic is cheap looking and far less refined than other models. The fan works good but what’s the point if it’s hard to look at.

DisappointedI purchased three original Haiku fans almost 8 years ago and they were superb. After selling and purchasing a new home, I bought two newer Haiku L fans in 2022. Sadly the quality has gone down the toilet. One fan, after only two months could not be controlled by the remote (the only way to adjust settings using a standard switch). When you call customer service for help, a service tech is scheduled to call you back the following day. I have yet to receive a call. Interestingly, both remotes can control the other fan which is still working. So, the fan (light hub or module) appears to be the problem. Sadly, another product whose quality is down the toilet which I'm sure they will blame on COVID.

Stylish and elegant... and moves some air! This is my 3rd fan. If you’re purchasing an additional unit like myself, this slightly updated model comes with a much shorter mounting bar/rod/pole than previously. If you want them to match, you’ll have to order the 10” downrod as an extra part that isn’t listed on the website.

Great fan, but remote sensors have issuesGreat fan, but picks up signal from Apple TV remote and my regular TV remote. Every time I use the remotes, the fan turns on. There's no way to change the frequency the fan works on.
